Thank you everyone for such a great year!  Thank you especially to the PTSA Board, led by Emily Suiter, who have continued to contribute to the program and help make it stronger every year. We know that we would not be here if it wasn’t for all of you.  For those of you who will not be with us next year, thank you for your contributions to the program and we wish you well.

New Information

• Last Day of School – Since the last day is on Monday the 26th (a day later than expected due to snow days), we understand that many students will not be in attendance due to planned vacations and students beginning camps.  These will be excused, however, we need you to call and let us know prior to that date.  For student safety, we have to call if a student doesn’t come to school and we don’t know why.  As you can imagine, this could keep the office busy all day.

• New Staffing Changes – We are always happy to see staff receive new opportunities, although the changes are sometimes difficult.  Patrick Gray, one of our MS math teachers, has taken a math curriculum specialist postion at the central office.   As a result, I have moved Genny Bisagna to his MS position as she has a HS endorsement in math and is excited to teach the advanced classes although she knows she will miss working with the younger students.  The staffing for her position is still being decided on.

• Schedule for Next Year – Our official bell hours are 8:55 – 3:25, with an early release on Wednesday’s at 2:10

• Reflections Art Contest – This year we had 9 Hazel Wolf entries, 3 finalists who advanced to the state competition, and 1 honorable mention!

• Ultimate Frisbee – Head and Assistant coaches needed for next year.  Practices are on Tuesdays and Thursdays with games on Saturdays, September through November.  E-mail Chrys Hunstiger, chhunstiger@seattleschools.org for more information.
