New Information

1.K-5 Pictures – If your student misses picture day on the 11th, they can come in on the 19th with middle school and get their picture taken. 

2.3rd- 5thGrade Earbuds/Headphones – 3rd – 5th grade students, please remember to bring a pair of earbuds or headphones to keep at school for the year for testing. MS Curriculum Night Recordings – They should now be available on Schoology.

3.Tutors Needed – We are currently looking for another adult who could help out with tutoring in literacy in MS.  Pay is around $18 an hour.

4.Fundraising through Amazon Smile and Box Tops – Want to help raise money for our school?! Here are a couple super easy ways:

• Set up an Amazon Smile account or change your current account so that it benefits the Hazel Wolf PTSA.   The Amazon Smile Foundation donates 0.5% of the purchase from all your eligible purchases to Hazel Wolf!

• Clip Box Tops or use the handy Box Tops app on your phone to earn 10 cents per box top you collect!! Follow these simple instructions on how to use the app and where to deliver clipped Box Tops

• Funds raised are used to support tutors, outdoor learning, science-based enrichment, programming scholarships and much, much more!

6.Back to School Skate Party – Back to School Skate Party is Friday October 21st 5pm-7pm at Lynnwood Bowl & skate! We have the skating rink reserved for Hazel Wolf students, staff & friends. $8 for skates & $12 for inlines. Hope to see you there.

7.Red Robin Dine Out Night — Order dinner from the James Baldwin Red Robin on Thursday, October 20th from 4-7:00 pm and help raise money for our school. 

Dine in during those hours and mention Hazel Wolf K8 PTSA to your server. Or for to-go orders and follow these instructions:

• In the menu, go to the category labeled “Fundraisers”
• Open “Spirit Night (To-Go) Fundraiser.”
• Add Hazel Wolf K8 PTSA to the Special Instructions in the Spirit Night item, then add it to cart. Note: if you add the item prior to entering your information, you can still edit it from your cart.
• Add your meal items and check out.
• Arrive at Red Robin, pull into a pickup spot and call the phone number on the sign. A Team Member will bring your order to your car. 

Reminders

1.Picture Day Help Needed – We need at least 4 volunteers to help with picture day on October 11th and October 19th. If you are interested, please reach out to Mrs. Jackson @ yljackson@seattleaschools.org.

2.Hazel Wolf Ski Swap Update – The time for the ski swap will be 11am-4pm, and we will have vendors on site selling new ski and snowboard gear, as well as new and gently used winter apparel. Get ready to get outfitted for winter and help raise money for our school! Skis, boots, hats, jackets, gloves, and more!

We know everyone has gear from last year that your kiddos outgrew! We are looking for gently used winter gear that Hazel Wolf families would like to consign. Consignment tables will be set up at the school on Thursday (11/3) and Friday (11/4) afternoons. Bring us your gear, tell us what you’d like to sell it for, and we’ll handle the rest! More details to follow as the event approaches!
