Message from Dr. Breuder:

March is Women’s History Month, so this Wednesday we are having an assembly with special visitor, Mayor Katie Wilson.  We are excited to welcome Mayor Wilson to Hazel Wolf! We are also celebrating Hazel Wolf’s birthday this week.  Thank you to the assembly committee for organizing this special event!

The Hazel Wolf staff is in the midst of planning the budget for the 2026-27 school year.  This week we will go over the budget proposal, which includes allocations of resources for next year that highlight the priorities of the school.  We will share that information at the PTSA General meeting on March 26.

Spring sports registration is now open! Students can sign up for:

• Boys Soccer
• Girls Volleyball
• Co-Ed Track & Field

Track & Field is scheduled to begin the week of March 23.
Boys Soccer and Girls Volleyball will begin around the same time. I am waiting for final confirmation from the district and coaches and will share exact start dates as soon as they are available.

To register, please use FinalForms.
Remember, sports physicals are valid for two years.

If your student has already participated in a sport this school year and would like to join a spring sport, simply send me an email letting me know. I can move them into the spring sport on FinalForms.

Spring Masquerade Auction Almost Here!

The Spring Masquerade Auction is weeks away! All auction funds support Hazel Wolf programs that benefit students and staff, including $400 classroom grants for every full-time teacher to enhance learning.

Quick rundown:

• Event Details: Magnuson Park Hangar 30 on Saturday, March 21, from 5:30–9:30 p.m. for this 21+ event. 
• Tickets: $95 per person, or grab a table for $650 (you + 7 friends!). Purchase Spring Masquerade Auction tickets.
• Attire: Whatever makes you feel most “you!” Show up in whatever lets you shine, whetherthat’s an old prom dress or living up to PNW chic, just don’t forget the mask! And if you do, we’ll have a mask-making station ready for you at the event.
• Need child care? Mosaic Room in Pinehurst has you covered. Register for Mosaic Room’s Parents Night Out.

Dessert Dash Treats and Day of Volunteers Needed for Auction

• Dessert Dash Needs: We’re looking for 20 homemade or store-bought desserts
  • Dessert Drop off: Saturday, March 21 between 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Magnuson Hanger 30 (6310 NE 74th Street)
• Volunteer Needs: We need help with set up, raffle, drink, and game sales during the auction, and clean up.  There are multiple volunteer time slots!  
• Sign up to donate a dessert or help out

Self-declare for the Hazel Wolf K-8 PTSA Executive Board Nominating Committee 

At the March 26 General Session meeting, PTSA members will elect 2–3 people to serve on the PTSA Nominating Committee. This committee is responsible for identifying candidates for 2026–2027 PTSA Executive Board positions, including President, Co-Treasurer, Communications, Community Events, and Fundraising.

Contact Heather Eliav at President@hazelwolfk8.org by Monday, March 23 to express your interest in serving on the Nominating Committee or to ask questions about the process.

Neurodivergent Community Group Meeting 

The Neurodivergent Community Group invites parents of neurodiverse children to an online meeting on Thursday, March 19 from 6–8pm (note the new date!) to connect, share experiences, and build community while learning strategies to support and advocate for their kids.
