All School Announcements
Message from Dr. Breuder:
We had a visit from Mayor Katie Wilson last week as part of our Women’s History Month assembly. It was exciting for students to hear about her leadership journey, answer questions from students, and she played the guitar with Mr. Franklin as the whole school sang Happy Birthday to Hazel Wolf. What a fun assembly! Thank you to the ASB Officers for leading this assembly for the school.
On Tuesday, March 17th, SPS Superintendent Shuldiner is hosting a community meeting in the NE Region. This will take place at Eckstein Middle School from 7:30-8:30pm.
Book Fair is this week!
The Book Fair is being hosted by Secret Garden Books. This will be an ONLINE book fair, so please look for the flyers coming home with your student. Families can place orders online and the books will be delivered to the school. The Hazel Wolf library will earn commission from these online sales.
Please contact Mr. Zetterberg with questions at mdzetterberg@seattleschools.org.

Come paint the playground!
Join our community this spring as we paint the blacktop and create a brighter, more joyful space together. This project will provide our students with colorful markings for 4 square, hopscotch, a maze, and 2 abstract murals. You do not need to be a registered volunteer for this. Please keep younger children at home, as we will not have the capacity to monitor children around wet paint stations. Keep an eye out for the sign up to volunteer for this exciting event!

This Saturday! Spring Masquerade Auction
This is the last week to purchase tickets. Remember, all auction funds support Hazel Wolf programs that benefit students and staff. We can’t wait to see everyone for a fun evening!
Can’t make it to the auction but still want to support? Browse and bid in our online silent auction, open until 9 PM on March 21. And if you’re attending the event, don’t worry—we have great live auction items reserved just for the night of the event.

Donor Spotlight
Thank you to these generous donors giving us class packages as part of our auction:
- Hall of Fame Team Camp– This neighborhood staple is all about pure summer energy, trading screens for wacky relays and high-energy team games. A familiar face at Hazel Wolf through their after-school enrichment, they truly understand our community’s spirit. We’re so grateful for their generous donation of $200 off two weeks of camp, helping more of our kids dive into the fun this summer!
- Little Explorers School– Little Explorers is a wonderful local partner that fosters a true love of discovery and nature. Their programs are designed to empower kids through play, art, and outdoor adventures, helping them become curious and caring individuals. We are so appreciative of their donation toward our auction, offering some lucky students the chance to join their popular summer camp sessions.
This Week! Neurodivergent Community Group Meeting
The Neurodivergent Community Group invites parents of neurodiverse children to an online meeting on Thursday, March 19 from 6–8pm (note the new date!) to connect, share experiences, and build community while learning strategies to support and advocate for their kids.
