Message from Dr. Breuder:
Hiring announcement: We are excited to announce that we have hired the new Assistant Principal position for next year. Gina Wickstead, current Assistant Principal at Denny Middle School, will join the Hazel Wolf K-8 admin team next year. Ms. Wickstead brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as an administrator and educator, and we are very excited for her to join the community.

- Thursday, June 11: Grade-level Choose Your Own Adventure (each grade-level has selected their own theme. Your grade-level teachers will let you know the theme!)
- Friday, June 12: Hazel Wolf day! (wear Hazel Wolf colors or gear!)
- Monday, June 15: Anything But a Backpack (Carry your things in anything but a backpack! Be creative!)
- Tuesday, June 16: Dress to Impress
- Wednesday, June 17: Dress the Rainbow
- Kindergarten: Rainbow Sparkles
- 1st-grade: Red

E-STEM Night and Musical Showcase:
- Thursday evening, June 4, 5:30-7 p.m.
- Please join us to celebrate the ESTEM learning students have done this year! Work will be on display throughout the school, and students and teachers will be there to share their learning and answer questions.
- Musical Showcase:
- This year we will also have environmentally-themed music performances in the cafetorium. The times for this will be:
- K/1: 5:40 p.m.
- 2/3: 6 p.m.
- 4/5: 6:20
- Followed by the EIM & Band/Orchestra showcase at 6:45 p.m.!
5th-grade promotion information:
- June 17 at 9:15 a.m. in the Hazel Wolf Cafeteria!
- Students arrive at 8:55 a.m. dressed for the ceremony
- Families may begin taking seats at 9 a.m.
- Ceremony will end at approximately 10:15 a.m., followed by photos & hugs in the courtyard
- Students will change into play clothes and head to Pinehurst Park
- Families are welcome to join us at the park, but you must be cleared as a chaperone! You can find information on getting cleared.
- Dr. Breuder’s last online volunteer orientation is 5/28 at 9 a.m.
Volunteer Breakfast, Friday, June 12: Please join us for a celebration of our amazing volunteers at Hazel Wolf K-8! This event will take place on Friday, June 12, beginning at 8:45am in the Library. Coffee and a light breakfast will be served. Different classes and grade-levels have prepared ways to say Thank You to our volunteers. We hope you can join us! ??
Message from Ms. Gloria, Kitchen Manager:
For the month of June all posted menus for lunches are Chef Choice. Here is the menu for the upcoming week. If there is a sub at school, the menu might change.
- Monday June 1: Orange Chicken, Turkey and Cheese Wrap or Bagel with cream cheese
- Tuesday June 2: Baked Chicken Thigh or Bagel with cream cheese
- Wednesday June 3: Pretzel Dog or Anytimers pizza lunch box
- Thursday June 4: Philly Cheese Sandwich or Yogurt lunch box
- Friday June 5: Salmon Escabeche, Beef Stew or Anytimers pizza lunch box
Also, there is a special menu for Field Day (June 10): We will have pulled turkey sandwich, veggie burger or beef hot dogs with vegetable sides, watermelon, cookie and milk. Adults can have lunch for $6.50 (Ms. Gloria can accept cash but do not have change and cannot accept checks).
Message from Mr. Zetterberg:
The Book B p.m. Email mdzetterberg@seattleschools.org if you can help! The library will begin accepting donations of gently used books starting Monday, May 25. All school library books need to be returned the week of May 25-29. Happy Reading!

Field Day Volunteers Needed!
If you are cleared to sign-up to volunteer, we need Volunteers to start filling up our Field Day volunteer slots for Elementary and Middle School! Below is the link that you can sign-up for a time slot. If you have not previously been cleared to volunteer, but would like to be, please email Ms. Sullivan rasullivan@seattleschools.org, and she will submit your name to get the clearance process started.
