All School Announcements

Message from Dr. Breuder:

We were so excited to have Kindergarten students join us this week! We had our first all-school assembly, where students learned about the Wolf Pact.  Our Wolf Pact states that we are Caring, Curious, Connected, and Supported.  Each class spent time this week making posters about how we are Caring in our community.  These posters were shared at the assembly.  We will be working towards supporting the Wolf Pact all year long.  It was a great week with our entire school community!

Thank you to the PTSA for organizing the Welcome Picnic on Friday! I couldn’t attend the picnic, but I heard such wonderful comments about how great it was for families to connect with each other.  😊

Staffing updates: Please help me welcome the following staff to the Hazel Wolf community!

  • Jessica Murillo—Elementary SPED Paraeducator
  • Chloe Torres—Guest teacher for Kit Jordan (middle school).  Ms. Chloe will be subbing for Teacher Jordan through the end of September.

Attendance Update:

Hello Hazel Wolf Families!

Please visit our website here for up-to-date attendance information.

We have a new online pre planned absence form this year. You can access the link here. This is ONLY for 3 or more pre planned missed days.

Once I have entered the absence into your student’s attendance I will email you with confirmation.

Remember to always email attendance along with your teacher (K-5) if your child is out for the school day, has an appointment or anything attendance related.

Reach out if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Ms. Traci

Start of school documents: Your child brought home a packet of documents for you to fill out last week.  Please return these documents at your earliest convenience.

Curriculum Night:

We are having an all-school K-8 Curriculum Night on Wednesday, October 8th.  Each grade-level (K-5) will have a presentation for families, and there will be one middle school presentation.

Volunteering at Hazel Wolf:

The volunteer clearance process has changed slightly.

  • Teachers will send out a request for volunteers (e.g. field trips, classroom volunteering, etc.).
  • Once those names are collected, the teacher will send prospective volunteers a link to the volunteer application.  This application takes 4-5 weeks to process.  The teacher will submit all volunteer names to the Volunteer Coordinator (Ms. Jackson) and the SPS Volunteer department.
  • All approved volunteers will be on the “approved” list with the SPS Volunteer department and Ms. Jackson.  In order to volunteer, your name must be on that list.
  • If your volunteer clearance is still valid, you do not need to renew right now.  If you are planning to renew, you can do so within 30 days of you’re the expiration of your clearance.
  • Please note the Volunteer Orientation is a required part of the volunteer clearance process.
