Message from Dr. Breuder:

This week we are hosting a group of NE region principals, as I am part of a PLN (Principal Learning Network).  We meet once a month at a different school in the NE region, so this month Hazel Wolf is hosting this meeting.  Our focus is on aligning instruction across schools in SPS and opening classrooms and teaching practices to other buildings.  The school leaders from Greenlake, Thornton Creek, Olympic Hills, Decatur, Cascade Parent Partnership, Bryant, and TOPS are part of this group and will be onsite at Hazel Wolf on Thursday morning.

Staffing update:

  • Middle School teacher: Please welcome Mr. Noatak Post, Middle School Music and Digital Arts & Media teacher! Mr. Post comes to Hazel Wolf with a strong music and computer science background.  He is starting at Hazel Wolf on Monday, November 3rd.  Mr. Geisser (current guest teacher) will continue this week and also work side-by-side with Mr. Post on November 3rd and 4th to help with the transition.  We are very excited for Mr. Post to join the Hazel Wolf community!
  • Custodial Engineer: Please welcome Mr. Spencer Petersen, Custodial Engineer (CE) at Hazel Wolf.  Mr. Petersen is replacing Mark Catabay’s position, as Mark has moved to another building in SPS.  Welcome. Mr. Petersen!
  • Kitchen Assistant: Please welcome kitchen assistant, Marilyn Patag.  Ms. Marilyn joins Ms. Gloria in the Hazel Wolf cafeteria.  Welcome, Ms. Marilyn!
