PTSA Announcements

Thank you Spelling Bee Participants – Thank you all and your students for helping us pull off our spelling bee today!   For those who participated and attended, I think we saw a bit of everything: pride, joy, focus, encouragement, and camaraderie as well as some tough spots, big feelings, and things we can improve on in the future. Overall, I hope your student(s) feel proud of themselves, whatever their individual outcome. I know all of us in the room were so proud of them all. What a gift, these kids.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any feedback about how things went today. We’re all learning, together, how to bring events like this back and best support our students and HW community.

I also want to give my most sincere appreciation to all of the volunteers and school staff that pitched in today (or in the months preceding) to help offer this opportunity for our students. It takes a village, as they say.

I also want to congratulate this year’s School Champion, Corbin. Wonderful job today and we look forward to you representing Hazel Wolf at the Regional Spelling Bee of King and Snohomish County at Town Hall Seattle on March 26th, 2023 (more info coming your way soon).
Congratulations also to Kea and Peter, our 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

And congratulations to every other participant for challenging themself today. Again, they made us all proud and we hope they’re proud of themselves, too.

Thank you Staff Appreciation Breakfast Volunteers  – The Hazel Wolf staff left for break with their bellies full before break.   From the burrito bar to the homemade waffles and everything in between, you showed that our Hazel Wolf community rocks!  Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. Special thanks to Kelli Charboneau and Kim Steffensmeier, who coordinated the breakfast and made it happen.
