All School Announcements

Message from Dr. Breuder:

I hope you had a restful Spring Break! I went to Las Vegas for a couple days and enjoyed a little sun, saw a show (an amazing Michael Jackson tribute show), and went on a fun food tour in the Arts District.  I am feeling relaxed and ready to head into these last months of the school year!

Superintendent visit: Superintendent Shuldiner visited Hazel Wolf the week before spring break and got to see some of the fantastic things happening around our school. He popped into many classrooms and met students and staff around the building. Additionally, I was able to meet with Superintendent Shuldiner a couple weeks ago, along with the other SPS K-8 principals. We were so appreciative of the time and discussion we had with the Superintendent about the future of K-8 schools in SPS.

Earth Week: This week is Earth Week, and we will have an all-school assembly on Wednesday for Earth Day.  (Thanks to the assembly committee for planning this assembly!)

Upcoming state testing: All students in grades 3-8 will participate in the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) for reading and math. This testing will take place the week of May 11-May15th.

Multicultural Night is May 7th!  Hazel Wolf families: Please join us Thursday, May 7th, from 5:30-7:30 pm in the covered play area. Let’s gather to share a meal and celebrate our community and its many different cultures. Please bring a dish to share or something that is special to your family, culture, or heritage, including cultural clothing or posters.  Come enjoy good food, good conversation and even some entertainment!

Middle School Math information session: As we prepare for next school year, we are holding an information session for middle school families about math in our middle school. That session is scheduled for Monday, May 11th at 5:30 on Teams. We will send the Teams link to current 5th-grade and middle school families.

Attendance:

Hello Families,
