Message from Dr. Breuder:
Welcome to the new school year! Whether you are returning or joining our school community for the first time, we are excited to have you with us. As your principal, I am honored to partner with you in creating a school where every student feels curious, caring, connected, and supported—this is our Wolf Pact! We want our students to ask questions, embrace learning, care for others, build meaningful relationships, and know that they are supported every step of the way.
The Hazel Wolf K-8 staff have been working very hard to get ready for the school year to start and this last week was so wonderful to see and hear our students in the classrooms, hallways, and all parts of our campus. We are so excited to welcome the Kindergarten students on their first day, Tuesday, September 8th. Our first assembly (Welcome Assembly) is on Wednesday, which will be our first time together as a school community this year.
This newsletter (Family Bulletin) will come out every Sunday at noon. Additionally, you will see information coming from your child’s teacher(s) via email and Talking Points.

Drop-off/Pick-up reminders:
We know the drop-off and pick-up times are very busy and we are trying to keep the flow of traffic as smooth as possible
- Pinehurst Ave. is a bus zone only, so please do not park on the school side of Pinehurst.
- The flow of drop-off and pick-up traffic goes one way from Pinehurst onto 12th and turns right onto 117th. Please do not park on 12th Ave. or 117th. During arrival and dismissal, please do not park on those streets.
- If you are planning to walk your child to/from campus, please park on a different street.
- A Hazel Wolf staff member is at the traffic circle in the morning and afternoon to help direct traffic. We will also have Safety Patrol members at the crosswalks on 12th and 117th to help pedestrians safely cross the streets. Thank you in advance for your patience during arrival and dismissal.
Volunteering at Hazel Wolf:
If you would like to volunteer at Hazel Wolf, please make sure to fill out the volunteer paperwork and attend a Volunteer Orientation. Attending a Volunteer Orientation is a requirement to volunteer at Hazel Wolf. (This orientation is good for two years, so if you attended last year, you do not need to attend this year.) This orientation is online and takes about 15 minutes. I strongly encourage you to attend the orientation early in the year to get it done instead of waiting right before you plan to volunteer.
