Message from Dr. Breuder:

I hope you are having a restful weekend.  I moved this weekend, so that was a big task.  (I am downsizing to a smaller space, so this move required me getting rid of many things and now I am starting the process of unpacking.  It’s amazing how things accumulate over time.) 

We are having a Middle School Wolf Pact Assembly on Wednesday.  This is a time for our middle school students go talk about the Wolf Pact and how we are working together to support this pact with each other and our community. . 
Our middle school students will come together to build community, celebrate our school identity, and start the year strong! (The Wolf Pact assembly for K-5 students is Wednesday, October 7^th.) 

Racial Equity Committee & PTSA Meeting—October 1^st
Families are invited to join us for our Racial Equity Committee meeting before the upcoming PTSA meeting. The Racial Equity Committee will meet at 5:30pm and the PTSA General meeting is at 6:30pm.  Come connect, share ideas, and support our school community. 

Here are a couple ideas for conversation starters for home:

• What is something new you learned?
• What made you laugh today?
• Did you help someone or did someone help you?
• What was something that challenged you?
• What are you proud of today?
• What are you looking forward to tomorrow?

CNEEB forms:

Please fill out the CNEEB (Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit) application by October 1^st! This form is directly tied to district funding AND eligibility is also tied to college funding. Even if you do not think you will qualify, please fill out the form!

Curriculum Night:

We are having an all-school K-8 Curriculum Night on Wednesday, October 7^th from 5:30-7:30pm. 

Students are welcome to attend Curriculum Night with families.  Students should plan to stay their family/adults for the duration of Curriculum Night. 

K-5 Curriculum Night:

• Grade-level presentations in the library or cafeteria. 
• Following each presentation, the classrooms for those grade-levels will be open for students and families.  

Middle School Curriculum Night:

• 6:30-7:00pm: One presentation for all middle school families in the cafeteria
• 7:05-7:30: Middle school classrooms will be open for students and families. 

School Supplies:

Instead of asking students to bring in supplies on a supply list, we ask families to donate what they can, then we can order supplies for students in bulk.  We also ask for a suggested $25 art supply donation.

We need EVERY student’s family to fill out the Application for Free and Reduced Meals, as it is directly linked to district funding.

We will only be sending a physical copy of the YELLOW Emergency Information form with your student. Please return it as soon as possible. We must have a physical copy in case of an emergency.

Volunteering at Hazel Wolf:

If you would like to volunteer at Hazel Wolf, please make sure to fill out the volunteer paperwork and attend a Volunteer Orientation.  Attending a Volunteer Orientation is a requirement to volunteer at Hazel Wolf.  (This orientation is good for two years, so if you attended last year, you do not need to attend this year.) This orientation is online and takes about 15 minutes.  I strongly encourage you to attend the orientation early in the year to get it done instead of waiting right before you plan to volunteer.

Middle School:

Middle School dance: Friday, October 30^th, from 2:10-3:25pm. Students will be able to participate in the dance or in a quiet space. Thanks to the ASB Officers and Leadership class for organizing this fun event!

Athletics:

Thank you to all of our families and students for the amazing support of fall athletics! Registration is now closed for both Girls Soccer and Ultimate Frisbee, with nearly 70 students participating in fall sports this year!

It’s great to see so many Wolves getting involved. Have a wonderful weekend!

Red Robin Northgate Dine Out Event October 4! 

Come grab a burger and hang with friends and support our school. 20% of food sales at Red Robin Northgate will go back to Hazel Wolf.

Lost & Found Information: The Lost & Found is located by the front office.  Parents may access it anytime during office hours.  Students are encouraged to check it before or after school. View the Lost and Found photo album for pictures and videos of the current items. Clothing left for more than 4 weeks will be donated.

Donate: Support our children’s academic experiences and fun. All proceeds go to support programming at Hazel Wolf, such as plastic recycling:

After-School Enrichment Registration Closes Soon!

Kiddos can spend the afternoon having fun in classes like STEM Escape Race, Tennis, Origami, Hip Hop, Pickleball, Soccer, Spanish, Japanese Club, Pokemon Club, Carpentry, Bricks Galaxy Far Away, Chess Club, Rainy Day Dinner Club and more!

Session 1 runs from 10/5/26-12/4/26.
