Hazel Wolf K-8 community: Background on our English Language Learner (ELL) enrollment night.

When our school moved buildings several times, we had fewer and fewer ELL families filling out option/ choice school paperwork and therefore less ELL students. Our community decided to intentionally look at and help to remove barriers for ELL families to fill out option/ choice school paperwork. In 2016, our community began having ELL enrollment nights with interpreters and downtown enrollment staff present to help with the paperwork. This year we are going virtual (because, you know, covid) 😉 Big thanks to Rachel Projansky and Kelly McIntyre for starting this and keeping it going!
